This month, we took a family road trip out West - a mix of work and fun in South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho for guns, gardens, and American History.
What a great road trip. I've been lucky enough to see those places except for the shooting range. The Little Bighorn site is spectacular. My wife is joining me in retirement in a couple of years and we are going to travel and see all of them as she hasn't been able to do it. Looking forward to it.
If more people could get out under the "big sky" across our country, it may be that politics and everything else we get spun up about wouldn't matter quite so much.
Nothing like traveling across the Great USA to discover we all have more in common than differences.
I was blessed to have had that opportunity from my mid 20's to almost 40. Not just out West, but South and North-Central. For a long enough time to intimately interact with reaidents of each area I stayed in.

That was a great trip. It's been decades since I've been that way. Our barracks in Fort Riley Kansas were the stables for Custer.
