Well done Julie! So proud of you! Reading this made me feel as if I were there watching and rooting for you. I wish I could've been. I feel your pain of being so close and yet not accomplishing what you wanted and what you knew you were capable of. I feel certain we will be reading your name in the list of 1920 scores in the not so distant future. Keep working gal! Love ya!!
Congratulations, you did an amazing job! I know as a fierce competitor you wish you had performed better. You are an elite in shooting sports. Some of the rest of us wish we were half the shooter you are and would be thrilled just to make the cut at Bianchi.
At that level of competition, there's no dishonor in 2nd! The top scores are more a matter of chance. A breeze, a passing shadow, a mistimed heartbeat can be the difference between scores.
Back when I shot NRA High Power Rifle in local matches, it was still fun to shoot a phenomenal stage and lose by an X or 2. What was more important was the fellowship of those of us who competed and our respect for each other's skills and company.
Congratulations! Though you weren’t in 1st place in score, you are a 1st place ambassador for our sport. Thank you and God’s blessings on you and your family.
Amazing job both the shooting and the writing. I liked how you described missing and what you did to push through. I think that is a valuable lesson for me.
Great read and wonderful job at the match, Bianchi is such a fun match to watch on Shooting USA. Doug and Bruce have won the majority of those 46 years. I’d frame any one of your autographed targets from Bianchi
Congratulations Julie! And reading all the previous comments, you have definitely pleased your fandom! And it is awesome that your husband was there to share the day’s shooting success!!
In the mid-late 80s and into the 90s Bianchi Cup received a lot of attention, if you were good enough to compete in the Cup you were on top of your game. Since then all the other shooting sports have grown. Also if you want to try, I think so, the most difficult competition try NRA Bullseye.
I've shot a bit of it, and it's a great tool for training. Even shot Camp Perry one year. With how USPSA/IPSC have evolved, I hope people who want more accuracy while still having to be a bit speedy will come find us in Action Pistol.

Thanks so much! I know it's been a "hot minute," but loved shooting and competing with you.

Very kind of you. If you ever want to give Bianchi a try, don't hesitate to reach out. We need more ladies and I'd love to help :)

John and Mike were there this year too! I'm kicking myself for not asking for my targets on the Barricade.
Congrats Julie
Thank you!
You are totally awesome! I couldn't even come close to your achievements!
Very kind, thank you!
